MP4 Playback

Any one have any tips or decoder suggestions? I have a rather large library of MP4 videos and the sounds plays but I get no picture. Educated guess is that it is a decoder issue?

The decoders set in NextPVR Settings have no relation to playing MP4 files. You need to have appropriate source filters and decoders installed on the machine... all NPVR does is say "hey Windows, play this file please".
if you install hoborg's SAF6 package (linked in post #2 of support sticky), it'll set your system up to play pretty much everything. another way is to install MPC-HC or the individual filters from their filter pack.

The Settings->Decoders settings only apply to the playback of .ts and .mpg files. For any other file type, including .mp4, it lets Windows choose the decoders.

Thanks guys, installed the pack suggested by johnsonx42, seems to be working now!

Also sent a PM to the creator for the unlock. Did I read correctly that has to be done for HD playback?

you should use the unlock if you'll be using the video decoder with npvr. If you stay with the Microsoft decoder for video, then you don't need it... Can't hurt though.

The unlocked version may not be legal in all countries.
