Incorrect Conflict

Attached is a screen shot and chart showing the time for the programs on the screen shot.

I have a SilliconDust HDHomeRun Prime. It provides three channels for recording. There are three conflicts that occur that I believe are incorrect :

310 9:30-10:00 Tavis Smiley
706 9:31-10:01 The Millers
712 9:00-10:00 Glee

Two correct conflicts occur :

702 9:00-11:00 20/20
708 9:00-11:00 The Women of SNL

All other programs can be recorded.

The log includes in the zip is from one attempt to perform a Quick Record for Tavis Smiley. I did not see any entry that would indicate why there is a conflict.

In this case it's because the second Midsomer Murders is being recorded on a different tuner than the first. Therefore during the timeslot where you want to record another program, no single tuner is available for the entire time even though at any given moment only two tuners are in use. I realize it's too late to help you now, but if you had scheduled one of those other shows first, and then Midsomer Murders, it would have worked.

Some have suggested that the scheduler should try to keep back-to-back shows on the same tuner rather than following tuner priority in all cases, but I'm sure there are scenarios where that would create similar problems. Such logic would likely be beneficial overall, but there's always the worry that adding more logic to the scheduler just makes it more likely to break in some other unimagined way.

My b-t-b recordings occur on the same tuner, I know that for a fact because I record two episodes of Midsummer Murders every weeknight and I also keep track of which tuner records what (in PostProcess.bat).

yes, I was thinking that may have been handled for recurring recordings already though I'm not sure. I'm guessing the OP's shows were all single recordings... really can't tell, the provided log contains nothing related to any of these shows.

johnsonx42 you are correct. All of my recordings are recurring recordings. And it is the priority order plays a role here. I canceled the recurring recordings for MM on channel 710 and TS on 310. I then added recurring recordings first for TS and then MM. Add the recordings are scheduled. Clearly an idiosyncrasy of the scheduler.
