Hi
Just to let you know, I downloaded an earlier version, 90.08 and the map channels button gave a totally different result.
ie scanned the channels, however, when I specified the channels to the epg names, the whole computer crashed (I tested this and it does it everytime)
So I uninstalled 90.08, and reinstalled a few other versions and they all either crash or crash.
91.5 still refuses to run the mapping/scanning app.
By the way, when the scanner did work, in 90.08, the picture for each channel appeared in the small preview screen.
This all seems a shame to me as it looks promising if I could get to work it would be a very good program.

Oh well back to showshifter

Come on guys, someone must have been through this before!

I tried 9008 yet again and this time got a picture in gbpvr, however, the sound was very patchy and mostly not present.

No matter what I do 91 wont map digital chanels and stops working while asking me to browse for config folder

please help this is becoming a challenge and I dont want to give up. Does thsi program work under sp2?
is there some other trick I'm missing?

I have just downloaded version 9108 for the first time and I have the same problem described here. When I try to map digital to EPG channels it hangs while asking browsing for config folder. There are no errors or messages.

I tried backdating to a previous version and the first one I could get a different result out of was 9010. It went to the scan process but had a code error and didn't work either.

I'm running an Athlon based machine with a Hauppauge Nova-T card but not the one with the 90002 chipset. I selected the BDA Recording Plugin and since I don't have the 90002 model I assume to select the other option Nova-T (909)?

Everything works fine with other software, e.g. Hauppauge, Showshifter, etc. so the hardware and setup should be fine.

Any ideas? If you want any more information please describe how I should collect it.

Thanks.

Just thought you would like to know.....this is the same problem I am getting. I have already started a new thread - look for johnnyb as username. I even did a clean install of XP, SP2 and just Nova-T 909 drivers, and got the same results. This morning I uninstalled the Nova-T 909 drivers and installed a Nova-T 90002 (stolen from a friend) and still got the same results. I am at work now, will send log files and screenshots to sub when I get home. Hopefully there will be more progress.

Where did you get your Nova-T drivers from? I am using the latest downloaded from the Hauppauge website i.e. 2.18c (have tried 2.17g) for the 909 card and hcw13nova-t.exe (v1.3) for the 90002 card. Do you know if these are the correct drivers to use ?

Quote:2.18c (have tried 2.17g) for the 909 card
Those aren't BDA drivers

Quote:hcw13nova-t.exe (v1.3) for the 90002 card
Those should in theory work.

The 2.17 or 2.18c are not bda drivers as the SUB has rightly pointed out. However, you can download the BDA drivers from http://www.technotrend.de. It contains the bda drivers as well as updates for other existing drivers.

For the 909, you must download the drivers for TT-PCline budget family. There is also some beta BDA software on this site.

I was advised by email from devnz that BDA drivers are required and my card is the so I have been looking at the http://www.technotrend.de/english/downlo...nload.html download area of TechnoTrend as also indicated by the post from "corporatefixer".

I am assuming my card is the 909 since it is not the 9002 so I tried drivers for the TT-PCline budget family card. I tried the "BDA-driver Version 4.4.9.15 (01.12.2004) (0,42 MB)" file - URL http://www.technotrend.de/new/sdk/bda_MCE2005_new.zip

When trying to manually install the drivers my machine just completely crashes and reboots so I can't get anywhere. I am NOT running Media Center edition of XP so I don't know if that has any bearing on using this driver.

When loading the driver I am prompted with three .inf choices

TTCap46n_W2k_XP.inf
TTFEDVBn_W2k_XP.inf
TTHybrid.inf

I chose TTFEDVBn_W2k_XP.inf and then "Techno Trend BDA/DVB-T Tuner". It starts to install the files and then bang! Crashes.

Just out of curiosity where did you find the 2.18c version of drivers on Hauppauge and could you send me the URL? I could only find 2.17g on the UK site.
