Hi
I've used GBPVR for years and now moving to NextPVR. Install and software are working perfectly on Windows 7 64 machine with HVR-1600 card. The problem I'm having is with the Client PC (Windows 8.1 64). Other than the long lag to start the interface, everything seems fine up to the point of invoking live TV. Guide displays perfectly and c:\users\Public\NPVR share on Win7 server is read/write shared to Everyone as is the recording and buffer folders. If TV is invoked NPVR displays "please wait" for a long time (minutes) then eventually throws a .NET error:
"A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 192.168.0.50:8968"
The log sometimes is very clean with this single error "Unable to query server recording directories". Other times there are additional errors depending on what I try to resolve the problem. I have attached one such log and the .NET framework error message.
I have tried using IP instead of DNS name, making sure both machines have static IPs, changing decoders, etc but nothing works. Any suggestions would be most welcome.
