I get this error (see below) after press OK in the config util. I started getting this error today after doing an upgrade from GBPVR09010.msi. After serveral attempts to 'repair' or reinstall failed with same error - I uninstalled, wiped the gbpvr dir and shutdown the PC. Still no luck.

Please let me know if you need my h/w details.

Sean

Those are my famous words, why because as you can see you're running in to problems. The best thing to do is backup your stuff, skins, plug-ins, gbpvr.mdb, mydatabase.mdb, config.xml, media and whatever else you need to a safe location.

Uninstall the older version of GBPVR, then delete the directory for it.

Run a registry cleaner, then defrag the HDD, reboot the PC
Then install the newer version. I've done this before, might be a pain to do, but you'll get better results!

I got the same, until I upgraded to the latest drivers for my card.
What card are you using?
You can never have enough tuners!

Exactly the same problem.
I have WIN-TV USB PVR2 and it runs fine with the crappy software that came with it but I cant get GB-PVR to load at all
I have uninstalled cleaned directories etc and loaded the newest version. I have enabled the JIT debugging but still will not get past the following.

Hi Al

Thanks for your response. I have a backup (I've been doing this sort of thing for a long), I only reported this to help others as I'm going to re-install and restore my old version.

I couldn't find any significant registry entries for GB-PVR, just a few in the devnz key. What registry cleaner do you suggest - I personally don't trust them, but...

Hi

I just tried GBPVR09108.msi with the same problem, but after reading some old posts, I installed to drive C:, rather than D: where I normally install all my apps. It now seems to be working.

Thanks, Sean

The icon starts as green and ready to go then after a while for no appaent reason it changes to red and cannot be resterted with out the JIT error again. If I reboot it comes up fine for A WHILE AND THEN STOPS.

I have this problem too!

I'll try reinstalling on a different partition and all that stuff.
Whatever works (or not as the case may be!), I'll post back the results.

I reinstalled to a different partition, and it worked (almost) untill I rebooted.

Now I'm back to the "unhandled exception error".

Boo Hoo.
