Couple of questions:
1)I've just updated to the latest and greatest 3.3.8 and can't find the episode search tab any more - has this gone or do I need to turn it on somewhere? The episode search tab exists on the iphone interface but searches can't be saved from there
2)My old install kept hanging on the channel mapping screen, so for ease I renamed the NPVR profile directory, uninstalled the program and then started again. Is there any way to get my old recording schedules back or are they gone for good? There wasn't a huge amount so reentering isn't drastic if its a complicated route back.

1) episode search tab? I'm not sure what that is. If you mean the built-in Search function, you may need to enable it in Settings->Plugins; check the box for Search and then restart NextPVR. If that's not the function you mean, or if that doesn't fix it, explain more and post logs.

2) Settings->Recordings->Import; select the recurring-backup.xml in the old profile directory. you can also get the existing recorded shows back into the database by importing recording-backup.xml.

1) That adds it to the main screen, but its the web screen that I want to search from. From memory I had it set to be:
TV Guide, Manage Recordings, Episode Search, Logout
I had found somewhere to turn off the streaming as I didn't use it, my guess is whereever that is lies the answer. Kind of like Settings > Plugins for the web interface
2) Thanks, just found them in recurring-backup.xml.2

1) if you can't see the Episode Search tab (or the Config tab) it could mean that you haven't logged in to NEWA properly. Maybe try checking your Web Server settings in nPVR-Settings-Clients...

thanks for the clue - I just tried logging in with IE instead of Chrome and both config and episode search appeared

oh, I didn't realize you were talking about NEWA. I should have realized you meant that when you said "tab", but I just never use NEWA so it didn't occur to me.
