All NextPVR users LOVE them some tasty patches, but here we are 40 days after release and you still see no patch list. What gives?

This time around sub is refreshing the NextPVR 3.4.8 installer whenever he changes something he considers critical. This makes my traditional patch list redundant and possibly damaging since patches I list would be older than those provided by the installer.

As of this writing, the NextPVR 3.4.8 installer includes all updates through June 6th, 2015 including an update to the installer which corrects a database upgrade issue.

The latest update of NextPVR 3.4.8 is available here: http://www.nextpvr.com/NPVRSetup_3_4_8.exe

(to be clear, to get the updates, just click "Stop NPVR Recording Service" in your start menu, then run the latest installer. no need to uninstall.)

Would it still be worthwhile maintaining a list of what's changed since the original release?

IMO a changelog with link to the actual thread (and patch) would be useful.

It would be useful - plus the release date of the current installer (in lieu of an incremental version number) - so that you don't have to first download it only to find you already have it Rolleyes

The trouble with patches is that some people only install the patches that they think applies to their problem - missing out earlier released patches of other files that may be needed for the next patch to work correctly.
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh

Great stuff... I didn't know this either....
+1 for a notification / change log somewhere though that shows when an update is available! :-)
Great work :-)

I've always been watching the NPVR Announcements and seeing the "3.4.8 available (25th April)" so I didn't bother re-downloading it.

If we find an issue, how do we report what version we are running?

I think for the vast majority of the time, it's probably not worth reporting an issue until you're running the latest version (and have confirmed it exhibits the problem).

True, but for six weeks now, I thought I was running the latest version until I read this thread. It's documented that the latest version is 3.4.8 and if you are running version 3.4.8, NPVR won't notify you that there is a new version available at startup. Oh well, now that I know, that's all that matters. Wink
