Hauppauge Remote - Number Keys Not Working

I'm having an issue with the Hauppauge 45 key remote control. All of the keys work on the remote, with GB-PVR, except the number keys. When I very first installed and used GB-PVR the number keys worked like a charm. When I would press 2 4 on the remote, the number 24 would show up in the lower left hand corner of the screen, and the channel would change. Now the number keys don't work AT ALL.

Does anyone have any suggestion or a fix to this???

I dont use it this way but I gave it a shot. Works OK for me. I get the number in the bottom left hand corner like you say. Check your channels tab in the config to make sure they are set right.

I think I've checked this tab in the config, but I'll make sure to check it again. I'm also thinking that this stopped working when I got the 2nd PVR-150 card to work in the system. I see that you have two PVR cards in your system as well, but your setup seems to be working correctly.

Maybe the IRRemote.ini file got messed up somehow...

PS: Isn't having multiple tuner cards in your PC the best? However, I could not get a PVR-350 and a PVR-150 to work together in the same machine. I believe this was due to the two cards using different chipsets.

No, it does not change the channel.

Would you know what WOULD cause this, if pressing the OK button worked?

(Just curious, incase I can at least get it to that point).

You used to have press OK before the channel change. A few releases back I added the following setting in config.xml

<ChannelChangeWithoutEnterKey>true</ChannelChangeWithoutEnterKey>

Its purpose is obvious.

I posted a message on my remote doing the same thing. My numbers don't change the channels...nor does the up/down channel changer.

Does your channel changes work when you press the channel up or down button on the remote?

This XML file, are there instructions on where to modify it?

Yes, all of the other keys (channel up/down, Skip Forward/Back, etc., that I've tested) work, EXCEPT for the number keys. (And I do NOT have the "treat number keys as text" checked in the config app).

I did notice that in the IRRemote.ini file, under the [Default] entry, there are settings for 1, 2, 3, etc., however they are NOT set to anything, so they look like this:

...

I'm wondering if this has anything to do with it. I'll try and change it tonight to see if I cannot get it working correctly.

I have not seen any detailed documentation on the config.xml file, but most of the settings are from the GB-PVR Config application. However, some of the settings can only be set by manually changing the config.xml file. I would just backup the original config.xml file, and do some trial-and-error testing..
