I've just upgraded from 0.90.10 to 0.91.8, overwriting the 0.90.10 install.
From the change log of 0.91, I knew I needed to rescan for channels as I'm a BDA user. As expected, the install seems to have completely overwritten my database with a blank one, so I've lost all my recordings and the pointers to already recorded shows on my HDD. With the BDA channel scan changes, will I screw everything up if I copy my old 0.90.10 database into the new install to restore this?

Alternatively, is there a way I can import my existing recordings and season records settings into the new database without screwing it up? They are the only bits I want to restore.

Thanks,

Simon

The upgrade does try to retain the database during the upgrade, but I do get the the occasion report of it over writting the database with a new one, which is why I recommend backup things first when I make the release announcements.
I'm not sure why it does this for some users.

The only significant change in the database between the releases, was that I made the tuning_request column on the SOURCE_CHANNEL_MAPPING table larger to cope with the tuning request formated used in the new release. You could manually make this change in Access if you have it.
