No EPG after upgrading to 3.8.3

I upgraded to 3.8.3 and now have an empty EPG.

I rescanned all the channels after the upgrade, then emptied the EPG and then updated the EPG. All channels are set to DVB/ATSC EPG. Everything else seems fine, live TV works.

Any advice gratefully received, even it is to roll back to the last release when the EPG worked fine.

For reasons unknown, the database update that is a part of some NextPVR updates doesn't work ... Start a command prompt windows and type ...

C:\Program Files(x86)\npvr\nextpvr -updatedb

You will need to put the command in quotes and you won't need the (x86) on 32 bit Windows

Graham I don't think just the database update is failing a full reinstall is recommended followed by the nexpver -updatedb

Thanks for the assistance. I ran the command recommended by Graham and was immediately offered an update from 3.8.3 (160925) to 3.8.3 (160929). Given Martin's comment I uninstalled 3.8.3 (160925), restarted the machine, installed 3.8.3 (160929), ran the command again then updated the EPG and it worked. So not sure whether it was the reinstallation or DB update that did the trick, you experts will know.

Same problem updating from 3.6.6 (I think). Uninstall / restart / reinstall / -updatedb worked. Thanks.

New to this method. Tried quotes just about everywhere. Corrected the missing space between Files and (x86), used verbatim upper & lower case. Thought maybe I needed to switch from C:/WINDOWS\system to C:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR. Most common error I got was: not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Stupid or ignorant, I need a little more specific direction, please. Thanks.

Since upgrading to 3.8.3, The recommended method for getting EPG data (Schedules Direct) has not been working. I have uninstalled, rebooted, re-installed 3.8.3, cleared the line-up, verified my creds and waited hours for the service to come "on-line" without success. I can only see in the logs that there is a token issue. I have a valid subscription, but I can not get any further then putting in my credentials in to NPVR. Any assistance would be helpful.

Going by that error message (which comes from Schedules Direct not NextPVR), you just happened to be trying at a time they had their server offline for some maintenance. Try again in a few hours.
