This appication has failed to start because rtl70.bpl was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. Key word is MAYBE. As i uninstalled everything, deleted the program directory, and reinstalled it, and it stills gives the error message. I narrowed it down to the function "Use Direct Access to Hauppauge Remote.", as once unchecked, it doesn't give me the error message anymore. But the Hauppauge remote doesn't work either. And i prefer to not have to install the Hauppauge IR software.
I checked for other software that might be trying to access the hardware, to see if a conflict is not allowing GB-PVR to see it, causing an error, and remembering i had it checked in "Girder", however once i unchecked it, and disabled-reenabled again, and did the same with GB-PVR, and ran it again, i still am getting the error message.

I'm confused, since i searched through the forums and didn't noticed anyone else posting about this problem. Does anyone have any insites on this? Or the programmers? Thanx guys. BTW- I have a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8000 box, i might have a crack at making a matching skin for the users that like/or are familar with the menu. Maybe even a tivo looking one, which my parents have to use for screens/etc.

What type of capture device do you have (PVR150/250/350), and do you have the new 45 button remote or the older remote?

You do still need to have the Hauppauge IR software installed, as it hooks into some of the components that are installed with this.

The intention of the direct access feature wasn't so you didnt need to install the Hauppauge software, but rather let you drive GB-PVR even when the application did not have focus.

Wow, in a matter of minutes both ways, you solved my problem. Almost like IM. Haha. That fixed it alright. I can handle having the ir software installed, just so i didn't have to have it running itself all the time. That's still perfect for me to just have GB-PVR control it when i'm using it. Thank you so much. I just got turned on to this software yesterday. I'm loving it already!!!
Sound cuts out when i pause (timeshift) it, but the audio is there when i record and playback, so i'm thinking it's a simply setting i got to look at that'll prob. fix that part. Thanx again so much. It's def. appreciated.

Awe shucks. I just tried every sound setting, and noticed the audio still goes out once i go to timeshiting mode. As soon as i exit out of timeshifting, sound comes back in fine again. And when i record, the sound is out, but when i play it back, it's there, so it's recording the audio just fine, just not playing it inside timeshifting.
