I am attempting to run MediaMVP using a Plextor TV402u USB2 capture card. Everything seems to work right, at least the LiveTV and Recording,on my PC monitor but on my TV all I can get is the "go" menu when I power on the MediaMVP. Does GBPVR support tis application?

You need to stop the Hauppauge MVP software, as this is producing the "go" menu.

Thanks, that seems to take care of the connection. TV Guide and LiveTV are working but when I try to play a recording I get a blank screen on my TV and the following message shows up on my PC: TRANS2MVP.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. I can still play recordings on my PC monitor.

The default settings for the GO7007SB base devices like the Plextor is to default to DIVX AVI recordings, with GBPVR. This is why you are getting the TRANSCODE.EXE showing up as it is trying to transcode from DIVX back to MPEG. Not sure what the error is as I don't use the MVP but there are a couple of options that you can try:

1. In the Config.exe app, under the Settings for your capture card, change the default HIGH, Medium, and Low quality settings from MPEG-4 DIVX to MPEG-2. High is typically 600000, Medium, 300000, and low 175000. Be warned though, the files it creates with MPEG-2 are about twice the size that are created with the default MPEG-4 settings.

2. Custom1 and Custom2 are setup by default to be MPEG-2 recordings. You could create your recordings so that they use these settings, and then it should play fine.

Sub should be able to help with the Transcode error, but until you know what is wrong, the options above might work for you.

I changed the setting to MPEG-2 and now seems to work fine.
