I installed the SiliconDust windows package. There is no HDHomeRun View app included with it. There used to be a QuickView app but that went away.
If you run hdhomerun_setup.exe and click on a channel it launches microsoft media player and that streams from the HDHomerun just fine.
I could run it from a browser but there's the WAF.
Thanks for the suggestions,
Jim
I have a HDHomeRun Connect that will run using NextPvr as a client (Intel NUC). The client does take a while to start playing the 1st channel. Subsequent channel changes are twice fast compared to the time to get the 1st channel streaming. I am using SAF6 codec pack (unlocked) on both the server and the client.
SD did away with the View program for those running Win 10. If you are running Win 10 you have to use the SD View app located in the Microsoft Windows store.
