Been using the TV Listing plug in for a couple years. Everything has been great and it's working wonderfully.

Recently I upgraded my viewing device to a much larger screen and decided to change the on-screen number of rows in the channel listing.

However, I can no longer find the "TV Listings skin.xml" file anywhere on my computer. The Plug in is listed and activated in the NPVR plug in settings areas, but NOT listed in the plugin folder. I did a search of the entire system and there is NO *.skin.xml file anywhere on the system. It's like the TV Listings plug was never installed and yet it's working perfectly.

I downloaded and un-zipped the original TV Listing plug in and found this file "TV Listings.xml" which contained <NamedValue name="ListingsRows" value="8"/>. But on my computer, that TV Listings folder and any of it's contents do not exist anywhere??

I have an extensive number of custom settings in my TV Listings using groups, and genre and other TV listing settings and was thinking of just re-moving the plugin and re-installing it, but don't want to loose all my settings. And of course I can't back them up because the files don't exist.

Of course ALL of the aforementioned parent folders etc. were checked for "hidden" attributes. I should point out that this HTPC is run 24/7 and never shut down for these prior two years other than to do routine maintenance and updates . This HTPC sole purpose is to run NextPVR. It's a pretty much closed system.

The last bit of maintenance done was several days ago when I upgraded NextPVR to the most recent build (4.2.3 (181112). There were no issues and everything is still working normally.

I'm puzzled about this.

You should see a TV Listings XML file under NPVR/Skin/Default/TV Listings directory
NPVR Version= 7.0.1.241229
Intel i5 Ten Core 14400 + 16GB DDR5 in Gigabyte B760 AX Motherboard
Windows 11 Pro 64bit
TBS-6902 dual DVB-S tuner
TBS-6205 quad DVB-T tuner
500Gb System Disk (M2 Nvme SSD)
4Tb Media Store (2 x 2Tb M2 Nvme SSD Spanned)

Raspberry Pi3 B+, Pi4B (OSMC) & Pi5 (XBian) running Kodi v21.1

For completeness ... C:\Users\Public\ ... what he said ... http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...alledParts

The .dll file should be in ... NPVR\Plugins\TV Listings

Nope .. no such files exist.

Here's a screen cap of all the *.dll files in the plugins folder and it's subfolders:

I'm going to empty the bogus files and sub folders in the plugins folder. There are no other plugins installed and I can't figure out why there is NO reference anywhere in my NPVR data folder for any kind of TV Listings plug in or associated files . Like I said earlier, those existing folders, sub folders and files that DO exist in the plugins folder are left overs from a failed install of the volume plugin over a year ago.

Can you give me the exact name of the "TV Listings" XML file? I'd like to do a deep scan of the entire system for it just to prove that it doesn't exist. Thanks ..

Your logs should show the location of the plugins. Upload them and we can help out. Enter the TV listing plugin should show some skin names too.

Probably not relevant to TV Listings ... but ... you appear to have a Plugins folder within your Plugins folder ... Volume OSD should be a sub-folder of C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Plugins\

You can download the TV Listings plugin .zip to a random folder for inspection ... it should contain two folders ... a Plugins folder whose contents should be in NPVR Plugins and a Skins folder whose content should be in NPVR\Skins ... You can search for any of the filenames in the .zip.

If you've no TV Listings files, it does rather beg the question....are you sure you're actually using TV Listings and not Subs built in TV Guide?

Well now that you mention it, as I recall over a year ago I DID have some trouble installing a couple a couple plugins. One was the volume plugin and I forgot what the other was but it may have been the TV Listing plugins. I may have removed the TV Plugin and as Graham mentioned there were errors in the actual plugin folder ... which still had the bogus volume plugin. I honestly just put it aside over a year ago. Today I cleaned out the plugin folder so everything is normal. I "have" been using the built in NPVR TV Listings from the beginning. So before I attempt to re-install the new tv listings plugin I have to ask a question. This whole thing started because I wanted to increase the number of rows in the guide. With the stock setup I can increase the number of minutes displayed but I can't find any reference to the ability to change the number of rows? Is there a setting for number of rows somewhere in a config file or something that I can change? That's really all I need. Otherwise, I'll try re-installing the TV Listings plug in which I believe will allow me to play with my guide rows. Thanks everyone ..

This line might do it
<Element name="Guide" location="17.77,16.6" size="80.68,4.81" alpha="255" visibleChannels="8" wrapText="false" backgroundColor="backgroundColor" selectedColor="selectedColor" recordingColor="recordingColor" recordingSelectedColor="..............
If you are using Windows 10 you can find it in Users/Public/NPVR/Skin/Default/TVguide/Guide.xml ( on my machine it is line 31)

Thanks JEF ... Using Win 7 pro here .. but the code in my win 7 system for the line in question is different.

I tried changing the "visibleChannels" to 10 instead it's default of 8, but no joy. After rebooting everything, my guide is still showing only 8 rows even though that line is now saying 10. I noticed something in the XML file that seems odd. Below is a paste of my existing (now edited) line in question.

<!-- <Element name="Guide" location="17.77,16.6" size="80.68,6.12" -->
<Element name="Guide" location="@guideOffsetX,16.6" size="@guideWidth,6.12" alpha="255" visibleChannels="10" wrapText="false".......

I'm not familiar with xml coding, but wonder what that first set of code elements is in the beginning of the line is? <!-- Could that be some kine of code that is meant to make that line a "non-executable" line or comment?
