PCTV 800e pro stick problems

I'm finally making the jump to win 10 from win 7 on my media center PC but I can't get NPVR to see the 800e as a ATSC tuner. It shows up in the HW list but only as a DVB-C tuner (2 instances). It does work great in WMC on win 7 and it works in win 10 using the PCTV software but it is jittery and has audio sync issue using that. I can get a WinTV HVR-1250 for about 15.00 on ebay, but if there is a quick fix for the 800e stick, I'd like to try that first.

Visit the Settings->Devices screen, then post your logs and I'll check what it can see.

I'm not familiar with this device. From the logs it looks like the drivers for this device aren't reporting that it supports ATSC, so it thinks it's a DVB-C device. I don't really have any easy suggestions, other than maybe looking for another version of the drivers. Otherwise...that $15 dollars on ebay is sounding like the easiest fix.

Strange, I'll see if there are newer drivers... seems like it has to support ATSC since WMC and the PCTV software both see it as a ATSC tuner.

Yeah, I'm sure it does support it - but it's not reporting it does in the standard way that other devices do, which is what is confusing NextPVR.

Usually you'd get one in there say "KSNODE_BDA_8VSB_DEMODULATOR" as well. Without that, NextPVR doesn't have any way to know it's an ATSC device. I have no doubt if I just hard coded "PCTV 330e/800e/880e BDA 2883 TVTuner" to act as a ATSC device, it would work...but I'd probably break some DVB versions of the PCTV devices at the same time.
