Hi! I'm trying out the new version of NPVR on Linux on a raspberry pi. Thanks Sub for all the awesome work!

I have NPVR set up and I can see my HDHomerunPrime and under Devices I can see the 3 tuners. I exported my channels in an XML file from my windows NPVR instance but when I use the file location and I click scan, it shows all the channels and not the subset of channels as well as the new names I have for those channels. Am I doing something wrong or does this feature not exist in NPVR currently on the webserver?

Thanks,

There is no channel import feature in NextPVR v5 at this stage. On Windows, you can typically replace the npvr.db3 with your old v4 one, and your channels etc will be available. Otherwise you'd need to set the channels up manually. (don't copy a Windows npvr.db3 to Linux - that wont work)

Thanks for the quick response. I'll have to go through and update the channels and names manually.

Does this also apply between devices?
Do i have to scan for every device or can I export and copy to another device on the same installation?

typically you’ll scan the first device, then when you click on the second device, it’ll offer to copy the channels and configuration from the existing device. (In most cases you’ll want to accept that offer)
