Lock up while trying to watch current recording

When trying to watch a recording in process, screen goes black and I have to ctrl alt del to get out of it. It doesn't kill the recording though, just won't let me watch it during.

I think I have it figured out. It appears that this only happens when I DON'T have "use live preview" checked. Odd thing was that changing it while the show was still recording didn't fix it. I had to change it and then try it with a new recording to see that it worked.

Leads me to another question though. When I have "use live preview" unchecked, it stretches it to fill my widescreen, instead of keeping it normal like analog should be. It's almost like it is using a different codec.

Live preview is not for watching recordings in progress. Recordings in progress are just like recordings, but are still being added to. Live is to watch TV w/o a file (not in timeshift).
