VMR9 preview mode

Is there a way to force VMR9 in live TV preview mode without editing filter merits ? I notice VMR7 (Video Renderer) gets loaded even though VMR9 is selected in playback tab. VMR9 only seems to get connected once timeshift mode is started.

Also can somebody explain the deinterlacing options available via preview mode. I cannot seem to get the encoder-passthrough method to work on my 150MCE.

What makes you think its using VMR7? From your logs its using VMR9. Infact, it allocates this when the application starts, and just sticks with the same one regardless of timeshift/live preview etc, and doesnt ever change renderer.

Encoder pass-through doesnt seem to like some MPEG2 decoders.
