Actually, I have some time today so I will rebuild the Kodi box (format and reinstall windows and Kodi). NextPVR runs on a different PC so all the recordings etc should stay intact.

No there currently there are no push triggers but sub and I have talked about that and it would be a nice improvement. I am hoping to see this in Nexus.
Instead of reinstalling Kodi you can create a separate portable install and it would be just as "clean" Martin

@mminehan have you found anything of note? I soon will be moving my dev. environment completely to Nexus so probably after Nexus alpha is released I will only be release critical patches for Matrix.
Martin
Hi Martin,
Thanks for checking in. I have no idea what is causing the recordings not updating issue. I have rebuilt both Kodi and NextPVR several times with clean installs of Windows 10 etc. I have tried installing NextPVR and Kodi on different machines, and on the same machine. Same result. The only thing I can't change is the tuner (DTV-T using HDHomerun Quatro) and Kodi always runs on the same Intel NUC. The recordings list does update if not watching/streaming anything. But if we are watching a recording or live TV the list does not update, even after stopping the stream. It seems that if Kodi is streaming anything it misses recording updates. But deleting an existing recording does force an update, so we have been doing that. However, I updated to Kodi 19.2 only yesterday so haven't have the time to evaluate the issue with the new version. When Kodi Nexus comes out I'll rebuild the system again to get a clean install. We only use Kodi for TV, so disable the menus for Movies, TV Shows, Music etc. Marty.

Good news I found the problem and can duplicate it.

If you'd like to test I have an updated build here https://jenkins.kodi.tv/blue/organizatio.../artifacts
I recommend just opening the zip and replacing your binary (dll on Windows) so as not to interfere with the automated update to 19.0.1 in the future. Martin

Hi Martin
I have just replaced the dll as well - have been getting this problem occasionally - requiring a shutdown and relaunch of kodi to get all programs to show. Not sure how much testing I can do as just started rebuilding my 39 year old Main speakers - Realistic Mach 1's showing their age. I'm sure the other half will let me know if there are any problems though!
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives
Hi Martin,
Great news. Whatever changes you made seem to have done the trick! Installed the DLL in the link you gave. Tonight while watching a recording I went to the recordings list without stopping the stream and list of recordings correctly listed another show that had been recrorded in the background. Didn't need to restart Kodi or delete another recording etc. I'll keep 'testing' for a few days and let you know if this fixed the recordings list issue for sure. What do you think was the problem? Thanks for your time on this. M |
