I want to hook my xbox up to my rca inputs of my ATI theater 550 pro and when I do there is a 3 second lag in response with the controlers, I assume it has to do with the timeshift capability. Is there a way to shut it off so I can watch live tv with n Sad o timeshift???

Thanks,
DAve

i figured this out on my own for ps2. Smile

in the config program, go to the playback tab and for live tv display put 0ms. might need to change the MVP settings, i dont know. but thats the tab i changed, and it worked. Smile

good luck.

Depending on your tv-card you can try to enable/disable live preview in the config app

There could also be a delay due to hardware.

I went into the config program playback tab and for live tv display put 0ms. It did not seem to have any effect. Also, I have the ATI Theater 550 pro card and there does not seem to have any configuration options anywhere I can find

Do you have the live preview mode option enabled. This will give you the least delay, but there will always be some delay associated with going through the TV card hardware.

It should be more like half a second or less (asumming you're viewing on you PC, not a PVR350/XCard/MVO).

How do I enable live preview mode? Also, I have the delay set to 0ms but the delay remains at about three seconds, and yes, I am viewing on my pc

Quote: have the delay set to 0ms
That setting is not for what you are trying to achieve. Setting this too low just hurts the stability of live tv when in timeshift mode.

Just ensure the 'use live preview mode if possible' setting is ticked in the confi app. Also set the deinterlacing to 'none'. With these setting set, the ATI drivers will send the video straight to the render, with no additional delay added by GB-PVR. This still incurs any delay present in the drivers, but will give you the most up-to-date view of live tv you can get in GB-PVR. On my PC this is less than half a second behind live.

Your helping me a lot, clicking to live preview mode is the answer except:
if I switch deinterlacing to none, I get no sound at all, if I switch to encoder pass through, I get sound and a minor delay
