Hi there,

Just installed GBPVR for the first time and can't get the channels to detect in the config app using my Technotrend budget 1300 (-T) (same as the old Nova-T [909]).

The log says it can't find any MUX filters but I have both WinDVD 5 installed along with cyberlink powerdvd 5. it then says it can detect my -T card but I think this may be caused by the failure to detect the MUX filters.

How can I find out if the MUX filters are installed? I assume they probably are but the log says they aren't!?!?!

I've attached the config log FYI if that helps at all...

TIA for any help! Kind regards,

Jolly

OK I managed to get it to recognise the cyberlink mux filter (curiously after installing intervideo dvd creator(!)) but now it won't recognise the technotrend BDA driver. Any ideas? Thanks...

The mux doesnt come with either of those applications. The Intervideo mux comes with WinDVD Creator. The Cyberlink mux comes with many of the DVB cards (in the included app).

This implies you havn't installed the BDA drivers for your card. You are probably using the older non-BDA drivers.

Thanks for your help. It was WinDVD Creator I installed for the mux filter - sorry my brain's seen so many apps installed and uninstalled over the last 4 hours trying to get a working filter it's getting a bit confused!

Anyway I'm past the mux filter problem and have now also installed the latest BDA drivers. And now I get a bit further! - no more errors about not being able to detect a mux filter but when the channel scan begins after about 2 seconds the screen goes black and the PC does a hard reset :-(

Any ideas? I searched this forum on reset/reboot but there was no obvious cause.

Thanks loads for your help :-)

Sounds like you've got driver problems. You'll have to talk to TechnoTrend about that one.
