Hi all - sitting with a very annoying issue.

I am running NextPVR on a VPS in New Zealand. It's not the most powerful VPS in the word, but it does the job. The specs are 512mb RAM, 10GB storage and running Ubuntu 20.04. This "decrypts" the New Zealand FTA IPTV streams which are geoblocked. I then stream to my laptop in South Africa. I have only just set up NextPVR, and I have a strange issue.

The channels work fine for a while, I can change channels fine there is zero buffering. However eventually when selecting a channel I get this message. Streaming Failed (transcoder exited). The only way to be able to resume viewing is to restart the VPS which is highly inconvenient.

I have attached a small snippet of the log  - please see if this identifies the issue. I do see a 404 file not found message although not sure how it's all connected.

Let me know if I need to submit anything else.

Thanks

Since we know the mjh URL's should work in NZ does it work on a direct play client like Kodi?

512mb is not a lot of memory though.

Just tried Kodi, and nope it doesn't - unless the VPS is restarted!

I am not sure what you mean by that.

When the VPS is restarted - the streams work as per usual on both Kodi & Web, but usually stops after a few minutes.

This usually happens after I close a stream down, and select another channel.

I've since redone the NZ VPS, and running it as a VPN to a VPS in Sydney, and going to see how well that works.
