Hello,
please excuse me if this question has been answered before but I just wanted to know if GB-PVR supports Lifeview Walker ultra with the remote being able to control the application. Also any general comments about the Lifeview Walker ultra would be helpful. I want to buy this tuner as it seems compatible with different systems and is also quite compact.

I use a LifeView Ultra with GBPVR on a daily basis. As of right now it has been running non stop recording shows in DIVX format for a month straight and haven't rebooted the computer once. There a still a few minor issues, but using it for plain recording, it works quite well.

As for a inexpensive remote that can work with GBPVR and allow you to control the Walker from GBPVR, then I'd suggest the StreamZap remote. It can be had for about $25.00 US and works through a standard USB port. Has built in support for GBPVR's most commonly accessed features.

Any specific questions on the Walker I can try to answer, but there are others here that are more knowledgeable about the workings of the Walker.

Thanks for the advice. I am glad to know that Lifeview ultra works well with GB-PVR. I have read some comments about the device sucking too much power off the USB ports and generating heat but it appears it is not anything to worry about.

I don't see a need to use the lifeview remote if the StreamZap remote can be used to control the application. I wish it was RF instead of IR though. The firefly looks good but does not seem to support GB-PVR.
