uidroid video playlist

I have seven folders of videos for the parrots entertainment each folder has at least 14 hours playtime of videos in it.... that is just .ts files in the folder no sub folders.

Using Videos I have tried pressing play on the individual folder & also opening the folder & pressing play on [..] but neither way will it play all the videos (or anywhere near all of them, seems to be somewhere over an hour but not as much as two hours)

Attached are the logs for today after it had stopped playing less than 2 hours in.

Does it work with nlite? I know my UI clients don't receive video playlists but they will always send a Ctrl-S

I have used this for years & years with both mvp's & nmt's so I just assumed it should just work.

If it works with nlite I will see what nlite does differently.

mutter mumble... I have now got the old server back up & running, after killing I don't know how many upcoming recordings etc. so it can feed the birds entertainment via their NMT in the mean time.

I thought I wold just use a number of the birds .ts videos that are around 2 minutes long to test in nlite but they won't play at all it but do play fine with NextPVR.exe .... back to the drawing board I guess.

Basically it was just NEWA and KEWC client for Kodi keeping the whole concept of UI cliennts alive for the better part of a decade and it was a few user requests plus things I use that kept it going. I don't recall any requests for video playlist.

Not sure why you don't investigate other options though, you can run two servers or probably just use Kodi for video playlists too, the birds won't care.

I am now running on two servers but that's not ideal by a long chalk.

The video playlist has been a feature on GB-Pvr - NextPVR for a very long time now so why would I even think it wouldn't work in later versions?

Next, now that I have things under control, when I get some time I will see about getting some short videos that will play with nlite & see what it does.

I'm guessing nobody has tried it for a very long time.

It looks like only a single video playback item makes it to the UI client. I'll need to dig into it a bit to work out why.

Hmm, it doesn't look too far off. I can see all the files queued up in the uiclient etc, just a couple of small things stopping it working.

I do see the Queuing activity logs

but I think from my UI clients you would have to ignore the Ctrl-S that I could send at the file end.
