Hi,
I live in a region of Australia where we do not get daylight savings and when its not daylight savings in the rest of the country, the EPG I have shows correct and is not out of time with +-1h.
Daylight savings however kicked in for the rest of the country, and since then my EPG seems to be 1 hour out.
I tried setting my PC time to one of the daylight savings states, but all this did was move the overall time up with 1h, meaning the episode which should have shown for example @5 (non daylight savings), just moved to @6 but is still incorrect and showing an hour later than it actuallt shows.
For example - Star Trek says it shows at 5, but it is now actually showing @4. Adjusting my PC time up or down will always move the whole EPG forward or backward, to adjust for time, but the program time never actually changes and I will always have it showing it starts an hour later than it actually is.

I noted on the forum there was a workaround in 2020 by just adding +1 behind your EPG to accommodate, but since I download the EPG automatically, I cannot change the file name.
Is there another way to adjust the time correctly?

I am running Version: 7.0.0.241105   for Windows

NextPVR works in UTC so if changing the time on the PC moves the display it could be the source. This is most often the problem with XMLTV not being correct. You can still download the file with

curl url -o my.xmltv

If you can get a copy open it and find one program that you know is wrong. Then compare it with this file from Sydney https://i.mjh.nz/au/Sydney/epg.xml

Hi,

Thanks to your suggestion, it seems that if I manually set my PC time (aka turn off all the Automatically time set options when switching regions or time zones) and adjust my time to be one hour ahead, then the EPG matches. What is weird is that the Timezone options says its UTC (+10), which means it should technically work - but its not. It only shifts the EPG when I set the time manually?

You should do some test recordings to make sure the problem isn't with the browser timezone.

Hi,
I made some recordings and I can confirm with the PC time set manually with +1 hour and no automatic time adjustments, all recordings are back to normal and properly recording, as long as I do not view the guide on another browser or machine while a recording happens with the correct time showing. I guess this is a workaround for now, but it would be great if this could somehow be adjusted correctly on all devices, not just the one machine doing the recordings.

Send us a zipped copy of your XMLTV file and let use know your timezone. If it is bigger than 2MB put it on external storage.

Hi,
I use the guides on https://epgshare01.online/epgshare01/ specifically the https://epgshare01.online/epgshare01/epg...ZA1.xml.gz and https://epgshare01.online/epgshare01/epg...UK1.xml.gz guides. My current timezone is Australia Brisbane +10.

A very quick look says that your guide data is OK so I'd really check your PC to confirm it and the BIOS are running properly in AEST.

I am pretty sure that we have had Brisbane users here before. What Windows version are you running?

Hi,

I have inspected the BIOS and my PC time and all seems to be good.
I am running windows 11 24h2 (10.0.26100.2033) w. Next PVR version 7.0.0.241105
I waited for a new EPG and can confirm that if I do not set the Windows time to manual and then add +1 hour manually (so not going via the Windows automatic time settings), the EPG will not show correct and will be out with an hour. This is a pretty weird issue to have.

If you map some channels using Matt Huismann's EPG https://i.mjh.nz/au/Brisbane/epg.xml are times bad too? At least we can tell if it the source or not.
