GBPVR looks like a great program that I'd like to try. Unfortunately, I'm running Linux so for right now it's unavailable to me.

Mono (the open-souce implementation of .NET) currently has rudimentary Windows.Forms support. Has anyone tried running GB-PVR on Mono?

I doubt it would work. It needs quite a bit of the GDI+ which I dont think is entirely implemented. It also has native code for talking to the devices which would need to be replaced.

Yeah, that's what I figured. Guess I'll keep plugging along with MythTV. It works great once it's up and running, but getting it going is a pain.

Kudos to you guys for what looks like a great program. Keep up the good work!

Any changes in mono compatibility thoughts? In particular for those of us that only view through mvp and don't need graphics (gdi)?

See comments above. Tons of stuff talking to devices which dont exist on linux platforms, also heavy usage of GDI+ for generating (for display on PC or MVP).
