I am building my server w/ a PVR500MCE card and can't seem to be able to schedule two recordings simultaneously even though the card is a dual tuner card w/ hardware encoders. CPU load shouldn't be an issue here so I'm confused. When I run the "config" program, there doesn't seem to be a way to choose the different tuners even though I've selected PVR500 in the correct drop down menu.

What am I doing wrong or is what I'm doing not possible?

You need to setup two capture sources for the PVR500. One setup for device #1, one for device #2.

From a drivers point of view, it looks like two PVR150's.

I entered the 2nd tuner as a seperate "capture source." Now when I edit the "recording source" settings for that capture source, do I define the "board number" as the same board as the original tuner? Or do I enter a different board number even though it is physically one board w/ 2 tuners on it?

It is slightly confusing that the drop-down menu is called 'Board number' (I guess there weren't any dual-tuner cards around when sub first did it).

As sub said you have to treat the 500 as two separate boards/devices. In one capture source set the 'Board number' drop-down to 'Capture Device #1' and the other to 'Capture Device #2'.

Cheers,
Brian
