I don't know how and why but I haven't got audio in live Tv mode only picture (and also in recorded shows). Is there a way to fix this? Could the log file help? Other applications work normally like PowerCinema and BeyondTV. But I would like to use GBPVR! It is the best (I can use xmltv)!

Other question: I have a vertical black bar about half cm on the left side of the picture. (At present I cannot post picture.) Is it a driver issue or something else. Does anyone have the same experience? (PAL version.)

It's bound to just be something on your machine getting in the way. It works fine on my ATI 550 Pro (PAL), and I know it works for may other users.

Do you get sound if you disable live preview mode?

Most capture cards produce a small black bar on each side, but the overscan nature of TV's usually hides it. If it really bothers you, you could try adjusting the zoom or aspect ratio settings in the config.xml file. I dont know how big your TV is, so I'm not sure how much of a problem a half cm of black is...

I disabled live preview mode and everything the same. No sound. When I installed GBPVR first there ware no problems at all. I reinstalled it but that didn't solve the problem.

The black bar: it doesn"t bother me too much but when I use the AIW card I can't see this with the ATI MMC software and the recorded shows also have. Otherwise I watch tv on my monitor.
Where is a documentation about the config.xml? A would like to adjust the parameters.
When I am in time shift mode the aspect ratio not the same as in the prview mode. Is it normal?
Sorry. I have too many problems.

I dont know. I remember you use to get sound on you set up until you uninstalled some codecs. Sounds like you've somehow stuff the codecs on your machine. It might a missing MPEG2 audio decoder causing the problem, but it could be all sorts of other things too.

There is no documentation for this, but you could try setting the <HorizontalZoom> setting to something like 1.05

It does use the same aspect ratio, but time-mode uses the ATI encoder which is probably slightly changing the size of the output image.

The ATI drivers try to mute the sound if it doesnt think it's got a lock on the specified sound system. The drivers may be having problems locking in your case. I'm not sure why though. (maybe related to this microsoft incorrect directshow settings for Hungary?)

The interesting is that I haven't met with this in PowerCinema. Does it treat the driver other?

Probably. It didnt come with any documentation telling me how I was supposed to use the drivers. I just use it the same way I do with every other card, using standard directshow APIs. Audio works fine for me and many other people.
