Why is GBPVR continuously exchanging data with ns2.misproductions.com? It is talking from port 8000 on ns2.misproductions.com to port 1073 on my pc, and from 1073 on my pc to 8000 on ns2.misconceptions.com.

Yeah,Port 8000 is a common port for web based radio (ie shoutcast)
use an app like TCPVIEW to check which app is using the port
http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/source/tcpview.shtml

or

http://66.160.133.226:8000/ as stefan said

It must be something you're doing yourself. GB-PVR doesnt communicate with this server.
