Pausing LiveTV starts timeshift mode and bumps me out to main menu

If I try to pause or record live tv it bumps me out to the main menu. I'm using a PVR 250, direct recording plugin, live preview on, encoder passthrough, I have enough diskspace.

What do I need to do to be able to fix this?
