Since nobody came up with a solution to my problem, here's a more in-depth-analysis of the problem, maybe that helps.
Premisses:
1. My GB-PVR uses the hardware decoder of the X-card
2. Auto insert is switched off
When I insert a dvd, I wait until the dvd player (hardware) stops whirring and I click on DVD in the GB-PVR menu, the menu turns black (normally the movie would be there) and gb-pvr freezes and I have to close it.
When I start X-player then (the X-Card's native player), check if the DVD is there and the dvd-rom player is checked (not playlist!, then I close the program and start GB_PVR again.
Now it works fine and I can play the DVD from the GB-PVR menu.
But only as long as I don't insert a new dvd!
I disabled autoplay 'cause I thought that was the problem.
Seems to me like a painstaking procedure to play a DVD, so:
Anyone a sound advice?
cheers,
