Switched to digital cable now getting error

I switched to a digital cable box and now when I try to view live tv i get the following:

It first says:
Starting timeshift mode tv, please wait

Then says:
Failed to communicate with the recording service



Any ideas?? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated

In your logs it just looks like your recording service isnt running. Try rebooting.

i've tried rebooting, I've tried doing a repair installation, nothing works.

I will try a un-install then re-install and see what happens.

Well I un-installed and re-installed and its working now

I guess I can't get my digital channels huh? Since I can only get 125 channels on my Hauppauge 150

You wont be able to tune in digital channels on your PVR150, but using an IR Blaster and svideo/composite connection from your digital cable box, you should still be able to make recordings of these extra channels.

If you dont have svideo, you probably have a composite connector.

Ok so I hook it up to composite then what do I do?? I have the IR blaster that came with the PVR150, I can hook that up then how to I record the channels if I can't view them - sorry I'm confused.
