I have searched but couldn't find an answer to this one:

I am building a new PC and planning to make the old machine into a dedicated GB-PVR box. (I'm lovin' GB-PVR that much)

The old PC has been having random slowdowns for the past few weeks (it knows it's being replaced Smile ) so I am looking forward to formatting it and doing a clean install of windows.

My question is: when I then do a clean install of GB-PVR, how do I recover my database details (gbpvr, rectracker and anything else...)?

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that you can't just copy the mdb files to a new version of GB-PVR?

Thanks...

just backup the entire gbpvr directory, that way all the plugin settings and gbpvr settings should be saved.

And then?

Do I install GB-PVR on the clean machine and then overwrite the entire folder from the backup?

Will this only work if the backup is from the same version as the new install (i.e. do I have to upgrade to the latest GB-PVR before I do the backup?)

Thanks for your help - much appreciated.

It's only "guaranteed" to work with the same versions.
I'm not always right

Ok, I'll make sure it is the same version.

But do I copy back the entire backup gbpvr folder or just certain files?

If so, which ones?
