BDA multiplexer

What does this do exactly? ive searched the forum and manual but no info?

It is required if you used a DVB (digital) TV card. In simple terms, the multiplexer is used to convert what comes off the card into an mpeg format that can be written to a file. Without one, you can't record or watch TV in timeshift mode when using a DVB source. It is not necessary if you an analogue-only setup.
