I am getting a new computer this week and everyone is hyping the the new 64 bit cpus so the question is should i do the free upgrade from 32 bit WinXP Pro to 64 bit?

I have two hauppauge WinTV-PVR-150 and i am not sure if they will work in 64 bit.

Has anyone tried this or can point me in the right direction, any help is greatly appreciated since i am a newbie with pvrs.

There are no 64 bit drivers for the Hauppauge devices yet, so no it wont work under 64bit windows.

When they do provide 64bit drivers will gbpvr run in that environment?

Thanx for the quick response.

Probably. I've not been able to try it myself, so I'm not sure.

the simple fact is that their are very few programs that use the full 64 bits even if they will run uder it ( they just run in 32 bit ) .. personaly i have yet to see any need for the 64bit systems in the home untill the software indust catchs up , and by then the 64bits wil lbe much better priced Big Grin

since there are some 64bit drivers out now will GBPVR run on the 64bit system as a 64bit program or just as a 32bit or not at all?
