I am using the 92.8 build of GBPVR and just got the new Divx 6 creation program to archive some of my programs. I was wondering how i get GBPVR to recognize and play these files. I have the codec on my system and am able to watch the file fine in WMP and Divx player....but GBPVR wont recognize the Divx files in my default video library.

I am aware that there is baic support for divx and other mpg4 conversions, but how do i get gbpvr to recognize them?

What do you mean exactly? Do you see your files listed? If they have the extension ".avi" then they should show up.

The file extension for divx6 files is now .divx (Just rename .divx to .avi (it will play fine still)

DivX6 is kinda cool, the helium codec finally allows SMP/DUAL CORE full utilzation,my encoding times fell almost by half on my SMP Xeon, though their are some issues with the bundle installing the google toolbar(at your request),but who reads the EULA`s throughly? Rolleyes
Also when encoding,Divx phones home, and downloads new banners to display from time to time

That was it. Yah sub the files weren't even being listed, but changing the name they now appear fine.

On a quick side note, support for the .divx filename would be great on the wishlist for the next update...just for convenience sake. The new divx 6 is great. It encodes much faster than previous versions and the quality of my videos are noticeably better at the same compression as my old 5.21 codec (compressed to about 1/4 the size).

As for the banner, luckily i use Firefox Smile

OK, I've added .divx for the next release.
