Channel changed on recording

I was watching a recorded show that was about 2 hours long. It was recorded on my last channel--#61. About 10-15 minutes before it ended, the file showed a different channel--channel 2 (the first channel on my list). Anyone have any idea what the problem might be. It's as if something went awry with the frequency or something.

Are you connected to an external cable/satellite box?

I dont know then. The channel changing events only happen at the beginning of recordings.

If you'd been connected to external tuner box, I would have suggested someone whiched channels on the box.

are you running any of the 'add-in' recording utils? What show took over the end of your show?

i don't know what took over. the channel mysteriously had changed from channel 61 to channel 2.
