Hello all. I must say I am very satisfied with GBPVR thus far. Big Grin Although I am running into a problem with my remote (the hauppauge one was failing, plus I like this one better)
I have used the howto at http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Manual/Firefly to try and get things working, but the only buttons that work are the direction, OK, and volume/channel buttons. The rewind, FF, skip buttons do not. I tried fiddling with the settings in gbpvr.xml, but none of the combinations I have tried have worked. I also am trying to get the music button to work and I am not having any luck there either. Has anyone here gotten one of these working without any problems? how'd you do it? Can I steal your .xml files to make mine work? Thanks!

I am planning on purchasing one of these snapstream remotes also, so if you figured this out in the last 8 months, I would appreciate some info or a link to info on how to configure it myself, thanks

I use a firefly. I now use Girder to interact with the firefly instead of the Snapstream solution - it is just much easier to resolve issues.

However here is a hint. For some reason when using VMR as the renderer, GBPVR would actually lose focus when changing a channel. When I used Overlay - focus was never lost and the firefly worked perfectly.

To get around this I used girder with sendmessage to always send to the specific window regardless of focus.

If you are using VMR, switch to Overlay and see if the remotekeys then work correctly. If not post back.

PS - this is the best remote on the market. The only solution that beats this is the PDA software versions (but they require so much work to get setup)
