Hi

Does anybody actually have a reliable GBPVR setup with a Nova-T 909 card?

If so please could you tell me which mux version you're using? My setup records well around 60% of the time, the other 40% I get a crash, with the resulting frustration of a 0KB file.

Which is the most reliable DVB-T card/multiplexer combination?

regards

What output do you get from MuxChecker? http://www.gbpvr.com/MuxChecker.zip

On the 40% you get a crash on, what does the error message say?

Hi Sub.

The utility yields the following:

GB-PVR has detected the following multiplex filters on your machine:

The error is as follows:

Does it give any more info that this? Does it have a "details" button or anything?

Alternatively, does it show more information about the error in the Event Log (Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer). It may show up under either Application or System.

What I'm getting at, is there has been some reports of some DVB card drivers causing crashes in MpgMux.ax (Cyberlink mux) for v5.0.0727. Those same users reported that they resolved their issue by going back to a v4.xxxx version of the Cyberlink mux.

The event log contained the following:
Faulting application gbpvrrecordingservice.exe, version 1.0.1930.13102, faulting module MpgMux.ax, version 5.0.0.727, fault address 0x00018fcc.

I have previously tried version 4.0.0.2122, with similar crashes. I have spoken to some people for whom that version worked - I think they were all using the 90002 Nova-T, hence my request for info about anyone who had hit upon a winning combination for the 909.

You could try switching to the ShowShifter mux. Thats also a pretty good mux.

I do now. But it took some time to sort it. You need to try and find a different Muxer. I sorted it by upgrading to SP2 and applying the MS patch to do with direct show and I found a later version of mpgmux.ax. I could not get it to work reliably with this version of Cyberlink Mux. However saying that a lot of people have success.

Which mux are you now using Darx?

I'll check the Showshifter one out tonight and let you know how I get on.

Hi Funkybro I use Cyberlink 5.0.0.813. I did try 3.5.0.117 and it seemed OK until I tried to record anything else at the same time.
