Hello all,

I've been using GBPVR for a while now and really like it. Unfortunately, since the day I first installed it I have been having a problem.

Any time I attempt to record a show by scheduling it via the guide, I see: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library, Rintime Error!, program: g:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvrrecordingservice.exe, R6025, pure virtual Function call. The program will record, save the file, and stop at the designated time, will record nothing else. After that, any attempt to watch TV either bounces me back to the main screen, or I receive a message informing me that the hardware device actively refused the connection.

Ideas? I love the software otherwise, and would really like to solve this issue.

Sounds like something is bugger with your install. Uninstall GB-PVR. Delete the c:\program files\devnz directory. Reinstall GB-PVR.

Thanks for the quick reply, but I've been there and done that (although I may do it again).

After a little more searching through the forums, I settled on the following course:
1. Replaced DX9.0c quartz.dll with DX9.0b quartz.dll
2. Updated the my GF6600 nvidia drivers
3. Installed nvidia's PureVideo MPEG2 decoder.

I don't know which of the actions fixed the error, but its gone now. In addition, playback is smoother, the video crisper, and aspect ratios are honoured.

GBPVR now rises to the top of my PVR list, and replaces all of my current software.

Thanks for the great software. How do you manage to offer it for free???
