Gbpvr has been running amazing for almost two weeks. But today when I updated the EPG the listings were offset by one hour. If a show starts at 8:00pm gbpvr's epg shows it starting at 7:00pm. My clock is set to the correct time zone EST. I even removed GBPVR with the add/remove programs lucky I did regedit and found that GBPRV still leaves its-self
in the programs folder. I even created a new account with zap-to-it Which by the way shows the correct listings on it's site.

There is no known issues with this. There is plenty of people using this, with no other users having this problem. Everytime a similar question has been raised in past, it ended up being due to the timezone settings on the user's PC.

Remember to do an Empty EPG prior to reimporting zap2it listings, as the shows already in the database wont have their times updated.

I am not knocking GBPVR like I said it's been running amazing untill this morning I noticed the epg was wrong. I live in the same time zone as Buffalo New York (EST) which my computer is set. I have not touched the clock or anything just wondering why after a 12 days of running like a champ I am now having problems with the epg.

Dont worry, I didnt take it the wrong way, I'm just saying I'm sure we'd know about it if something was wrong here.
Its literally been about 10 months since anything was changed with the zap2it code in GB-PVR, and I'm not aware of any issues with this.

Zap2it supplies all their dates/times in UTC format. GB-PVR then asks Windows to convert these UTC date/times into local date times. Windows uses the timezone settings to do this.

The only options are really the following:

1) You have your timezone settings incorrect.

2) The zap2it EPG feed is supplying crap data for your provider. This is different than viewing via www.zap2it.com, so looking there wont necessarily tell you. If this the case, give it a few days and it might right itself.

Whatever you do when trying to resolve this, remember to do an 'Empty EPG' first to get rid of broken dates.

Well still having problems with the epg being off by an hour. I even phoned the local goverment office and asked for the correct time and time zone. Which was correct on my computer. I guess those cockbags at zap-to-it have messed up somehow. The real drag is this problem is rendering the recording features of GBPVR useless. I am thinking of asking one of the programmers at my work if they could make a plug-in for GBPVR that acts like the recording program for a VCR just give it a start/stop time the channel and away it goes.

OMG I feel like a useless twat I found the manual recording feature in the recordings tab. With two little children running around with colds my time limited.
Sorry for the annoying posts.

have you tried using xmltv and pulling the listings down manually? That should tell you if the problem is on the zap2it side or the gbpvr side of things. If it's on the zap2it side, you can always just manually pull the listings down with an hour offset.

Yes, thats a good point. You should be the correct timezone, have your PC set to automatically adjust for daylight savings, and have the time correct. I'm fairly sure Windows would need all of these to be able to convert between UTC and local time.

Thanks everyone for your help but this morning with the time zone settings left as they were when this problem started. I did the empty EPG and the update EPG and now the show times are correct. Thank god I am not on dial-up as i was doing this about every 8 hours. Thanks again for the help.
