I would like to help I have a KWORLD V-STREAM XPERT DTV-DVB-T {Conexant 2388x chip} pci card

If you add this

[Kworld Xpert DTV - DVBT]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=DigiGo DVBT BDA Tuner/Demod
FILTER_CAPTURE=DigiGo DVBT 2388x Transport Stream Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=BDA MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

to the bda.ini file

You can get this card to work with the latest drivers Version V4.0.108.0
from kworlds site
I don't install full download just the drivers
I hope this helps

Hello mate,

I've been trying to set up GBPVR using my V-Stream Xpert DVB-T Card as you suggested, but it still won't work. I've edited the bda.ini and loaded the drivers on a completely fresh XP SP2 build but when I come to tune the channels in it just pops up loads of errors and hangs,

The closest I've come before to it working was when I did all of the above on top of installing the DVBT application which came with the card. Then GBPVR can pick up all the BBC channels if you last watch a BBC channel on the DVBT app, or pick up all the ITV channels + C4 if you were last watching one of them with DVBT and so on. But it can't pick up and store them all at the same time.

Also if I take out the "BDA" from the line

PIN_TUNER_OUT=BDA MPEG2 Transport

then the errors go away, but after trying to tune the channels, none are found!

If you can help me get this piece of crap working I'd really appreciate it as I'm pulling my hair out. It's potentially great if only I can get GB PVR working. But the software that comes with it is totally rubbsh.

Thanks in advance,

Tommy

sorry to hear you cant get your card working. I will try to help but in no way am i a programmer.
How i got my card to work is get a copy of graphedit
1.run graphedit
2.look in the toolbar for "insert a filter into the graph"
3.in BDA Network Providers find "Microsoft DVBT Network Provider" and then"Insert Filter"
4.in BDA Source Filter find your tuner and "Insert Filter" I have" DigiGo DVBT BDA Tuner/Demod"
5.in BDA Receiver Components find your Transport Stream and "Insert Filter" I have "DigiGo DVBT BDA 2388x Transport Stream capture"
Now in the graph window
6.drag the pin from Microsoft DVBT Network Provider to DigiGo DVBT BDA Tuner/Demod
7.drag the pin from DigiGo DVBT BDA Tuner/Demod to DigiGo DVBT BDA 2388x Transport Stream capture
8.right click pin "MPEG2 Transport"and Render pin
This should build the rest of you graph
look in the toolbar for play click it you should now have a picture
This is how i got my card to work

Stig,

Thanks for taking the trouble to reply.

I'm going to try what you advised and then if it doesn't work finally admit defeat and go and buy a Nova-T!

I'll let you know tomorrow.

I don't know if i should say this here but I've been searching google. If you cant get your card to work with GBPVR you should try MEDIAPORTAL as i think this card is supported.
Personally find GBPVR more responsive

Right - nearly there!

After initially trying Media Portal with no success, I went back to try some more GBPVR tinkering as I agree with you that MP didn't look as good,

I re-built the machine again, added the info to bda.ini as suggested, but then instead of installing the latest K-World drivers as suggested, I installed the ones suggested here:

http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ight=xpert

...and it all works now :-)

All the channels mapped and I can watch the live TV flawlessly.

It's just a shame that none of the programs I set it up to record over night actually recorded! The new folders were created, but had no content. I'm sure this is simple enough to sort out.

When all the channels tuned in last night it was like winning the lottery. I was ready to stamp on the effing V-Stream card at this point,

Thanks for all your help Stig - you are a legend mate!

Download this http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=7229 and if you do not have a multiplexer installed that will explain no recordings taking place. If you do have some registered then totally disregard this post.
