v. 0.93.10 seems to include a different version of dongle.bin than v. 0.92.11. Using this dongle.bin, my MVPs do not work as well as with the previous one. They frequently crash, especially when using the (rather old, but very good) Pictures plugin. The MVPs crash when doing other things as well.

Additionally, the on-screen volume bar no longer appears. (I think newer versions of the Hauppauge software render the volume bar from the server.)

I have switched back to the old dongle.bin, and things work as before. I just worry that further development of GBPVR will depend on the newer version of dongle.bin.

Yeah, I've noticed the new dongle.bin, mostly due to the lack of volume OSD. One of my MVP's hasn't been power cycled yet and has the old version, and the other has the new. A few more glitches, so I'll probably end up replacing the dongle.bin of my install from my backup. I figure sub must be using the new one now, hence it's inclusion in the new build, so maybe it's not all that bad.

You're welcome to stick with the old one if you want.

I'll be continuing to include the new one with GB-PVR. I hated those stupied play/stop icons etc in the old one.

What version do you recommend that we use? The one on their web site is 2.4 release 23096, butthat still has the overlay icons. Are you using something newer?

Is this also why I don't see volume bars anymore when using the volume on the MVP remote?

What is the last version with the volume bars? I'll have to decide if I like the bars more than I don't like the stop box...

Thanks Sub, I figured that is what it was.

Anyone have a line on the least "connection sensittive" version of dongle.bin? I've setup the new 200 Megabit powerline networking and it works great except I get random dissconnects on then MVP.
GB-PVR - ShowAnalyzer
Server 2003 - 4 tuners
