Hi there

I have been struggling to get this setup working for a couple of weeks now. And I keep hitting a wall. I have read through so many threads on this forum, all very helpful, but my problems still exist. So here is my setup:

AMD Athlon 3000+, 512MB, 250Gig HD, WinXP PRO, nVidia 32mg Graphics, Nova-T 90002 Hauppage card, Hauppage MediaMVP.

Drivers: The newest Hauppage drivers from their website.

I have come to grips with most of the concepts around getting this to work. And thats why I am frustrated.

I have done all the uninstalling and re-installing I can handle! I have tried to install these MUX's eveyone keeps talking about, and the only one I can get installed is the Showshifter one. (I have installed Intervideo WinDVD, and Cyberlink PowerDVD, and the MUX checker still says they are not installed?? Is there something I am missing here??)

Ok, then I have tried to get the UK freeview listings, but Bleb does not have them all. And the link to the other site to get the XML listings does not work from any thread.(Just to let you know The Card is working fine with the WinTV program, I get all 38 channels, and all seems fine.) There does not seem to be a tuner application that works with the Nova-T??? - the tuner app works with the other Hauppage cards, but not the Nova-T. But even when I do get the listings from Bleb, it hangs the application everytime I try and MAP them to the EPG.

So maybe I am being a complete idiot here, but I really like the look and idea of your software, and thats why I am dedicated to getting it to work. Sub, if you are out there, HELP!!!!

These products install MPEG2 decoders, not multiplexers.

Many people had been installing the Cyberlink mux from FlyVideo or KWorld driver distributions or something like that. Use the forum search, and you'll turn up a source.

If bleb doesnt have all the channels you require, you may need to use the XMLTV Radio Times grabber instead. See http://www.birtles.org.uk/xmltv/. Its supposed to be quite easy to use.

Post your config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

Yes, that link works fine for me. Sounds like you're having internet problems.

The logs get overwritten each time you start the config app. In this particular log you havnt clicked the 'Map digital channels to EPG channel button'. Try again.

Right... tried Installing FlyVideo, and still no MUX. (except for the the showshifter one I have already got)
All web access is A-Okay, and http://www.birtles.org.uk/xmltv/ still does not work.

And when ever I click MAP digital channels to EPG channel button, the application crashes.

You obviously didnt get the right one then. Use the forum search feature, it'll lead you to MpgMux.ax which is the Cyberlink mux. From what I've read many people had got it from the FlyVideo drivers distribution. Seeing you dont have one of these devices, I dont know how you could have installed it.

You're the only person that has said they cant get to this site. Most GB-PVR UK users use the XMLTV grabber from that site. I can click on the link to get to the site without any problems.

Attach your config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll look at the error message

Sorry, I dont know. There is no really obvious clues in the log. Have you tried removing and recreating your capture source.

I have had enough. I cant find these mysterious Muxers anywhere. getting more and more frustrated with going round and round in circles. Why is it so difficult to install and find these damn things! I will try an do another clean removal and install. And will try and find out where to get these muxers from. (Surely somebody has the files stored somewhere???) But I have been at it for 11 hours today, and I am ready to throw this PC out the window!!!! So I will try again tomorrow, thanks for trying sub

Fair enough.

I dont included them with the GB-PVR, since its illegal. These are part of other commercial applications. I just did a search, and about the second post told me where to get the files. Try reading http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=7620. I dont care if other people tell you where to get them, but I dont want create legal problems for the project by doing this myself.
