Hi,

after upgrading to the latest version, I noticed an extra option under "misc" in the config-tool. According to this option I should be able to generate teletext-subtitles into a .srt-file.

I know my pvr350 is able, I also receive PAL-teletext, living in The Netherlands, with subtitles in teletext-page 888, so only two questions remain:
1) what are the settings/actions, to generate srt-files?
2) does it mean that both srt-files and the mpeg-files are created while recording?

Did I already mention that gbpvr is a pretty solid peace of work? It is! Smile

Cheers,
Johan Duinkerken.

You need to have teletext enabled, srt capture enabled, and the correct teletext page numbers entered in the capture source channel list for the language you want to capture. For example, here in New Zealand english subtitles are transmitted on page 801, so I had to enter 801 in the WST page in the capture source channel list.

Yes.

Alas. No go.
Teletext works with the teletext app delivered by Hauppauge. No visible teletext in gbpvr Live-TV though, and no .srt-files while recording.

Test-setup:
1) enabled teletext in "Misc" config page
2) enabled .srt in "Misc" config page
3) entered "888" as "Subtitle page." in "Capture sources" config page for BBC1 and BBC2
4) captured Live TV
5) "Quick recorded" something

After both steps 4 and 5, no .srt-files

Any tips? I would really like this feature!

Can you view teletext in GB-PVR by clicking Ctrl-R? Make sure you have teletext enabled in the config app first.

Same issue here. I tried whether I can see teletext (using the pvr 350 tv-out). The screen goes dark, 100 is seen in the upper left corner, but no TT information appears...

Not tried creation of srt files as tt is not visible.

Any ideas?
This all applies:

No teletext in Live TV on PC monitor; pressing ctrl-R gives a black screen with

100 (0)

in the upper left corner... meaning no (sub)page found?

Question: teletext is enabled in the "Misc" page by checking option "Enable Teletext"? There are no other steps which have to be taken?

I'd dont know if would work on the PVR350's TV out or not. Maybe not. I dont have my PVR350 in my machine, so cant test it easily.

There is one further thing. If you're using a Hauppauge card, and in live preview mode, then you must have the deinterlacing setting set to 'encoder pass-through', this is because the Hauppauge cards wont produce VBI information unless the encoder is used.
