It appears that some buttons are not handled correctly when using direct access to Hauppauge remote.

If I use direct access, the Red button and Go button do not appear to work, if I use IR Remote instead, they do work.

For example, pressing Red to reverse the order of the list in the Recording screen. Or pressing Go to bring up the menu in MyVideos.

Is there somewhere the mapping can be configured?

It's not the end of the world but, I've stopped using direct access for the moment but someimes, when the machine comes out of standby, the GBPVR window does not have focus so the remote does not work which is a bit annoying.

Here's hoping for a fix :o)

Thanks

Dai

PS, I'm using the old 34 button remote if that's relevant.

Unfortunately I dont have a machine I can use the 'direct access to hauppauge remote' feature so there has been no enhancements to it for a long time.

My machine with PVR350 also has a PVR150 in it. The Hauppauge IR software only works with the PVR150. To do any work I'd need to remove the PVR150, remove the drivers, then reinstall the PVR350 drivers. Unfortunately thats just too much hassle for everytime I need to make a key change or test this feature.

Instead I recommend people dont use the direct access feature these days.

Sorry. Sad

Fair enough, thanks for your reply.

It's been serving me faithfully for over a year now Sad but I'll find another way round my issues.

Sorry to hear that, direct access is a "must have" for me. But as long as you don't remove it, I'm happy:-)
I'm using PVR-250 + old-style remote - and all buttons (that I use) work as expected. But I never use the Go button, and apparently, not the red one either :-)

Can someone run the attached utility to see if it outputs information? You'll need to make sure the Hauppauge remote software is closed first, then just point your remote at the receiver and press a few keys.

If it works I'll see if I can add the missing keys.

I'd also be interested in hear if it does anything for PVR250 owners with the 45 button remote.
