Not sure what is going on... I finally traced the problem to having the "Display on Video Archive Panel" box checked within the weather plugin. Once I uncheck it GBPVR loads in the usual 3-5 second time frame. With it checked it seems as though it just hangs. Even after a few minutes there is no sign of action although the gbpvr.exe.log does move forward slower than a snails pace.

I turned off my zonealarm firewall to see if that was the problem and it didnt' help at all.

Any ideas as to what could be going on? Works perfectly fine on another computer of mine. I really want to get it working on my main HTPC Smile

I just finished uninstalling GBPVR and reloading everything and it still happens. Although I did copy the gbpvr.mdb file over as I was to lazy to set everything up from scratch. Could there be a problem in the gbpvr.mdb file?

I was looking in the gbpvr.exe.log and noticed this which might explain part of the problem. Any ideas on rectifying the problem?

Are you using the video archive plug-in as well, ort just the panel? This error (which is caught in the next release of the plug-in so as to not cause the system to hang) is caused by the plug-in trying to check the free disk space of a drive that is not attached The list of drives to check is specified in the first tab of the video archive plug-in config screen.

Jeff,
I believe I am just using the panel. I don't have any paths specified for the archiving of files. I would love to get this working as it is a great feature! If you have any ideas for helping me determine and correct the problem I would greatly appreciate it.

I have always had problems with the disk usage plugin that has been around for quite some time with GBPVR. It has always caused an RCW ... blah blah error since day one on that computer. The only disk space plugin that works is the one incorportated into xrecord and the latest gbpvr.

I have put try{} catch{} blocks around the disk access routines in the next version so that we can see what error you are getting, which wil lhopefully lead to a fix. I have also made low disk space checking optional in the next release.

Thanks Jeff!
I look forward to getting the problem resolved so that I can make use of the fully polished VAPanel!

Great job by the way!
