Couple more silly noob questions

1) how do I configure GBPVR to use Media Player Classic as default player?
2) how I configure GBPVR to use AC3Filter (not listed) as my preferred audio decoder?
3) how do I configure player to use SPDIF?

You cant.

If you set you machine to use 'System Default' audio decoder, it'll most likely use the AC3Filter.

3) how do I configure player to use SPDIF?

This all happens external to GB-PVR. Its usually a combination of the configuration of your soundcard and audio decoder (in this case AC3Filter's configuration).

GBPVR has its own internal player, which is basically using the same filters and codecs as Windows Media Player does.

ok, thanks for that. Am I right then, that if I configure the filters in WMP, that these configs will apply to GBPVR?
