I'm having trouble with the Guide functionality. It's not updating at all past the first time I grab the guide.

I've got a Hauppauge PVR500 with both tuners configured for ZapToIt. Neither the automatic EPG update, manually updating from the Config utility, or right-clicking on the GBPVR icon and hitting Update EPG are working correctly. It seems to work correctly -- that is, it downloads data from ZapToIt, then "processes" it, then "saves" it (I confirmed the downloading via my network logs but I can't confirm the processing of saving), but when it comes to actually seeing the guide in GBPVR I am unable to.

Please let me know what logs or additional information I need to post in order for assistance. Thanks a bunch in advance. Smile

What version are you running. Sub has been working on that, and the newest version seems fine!
3x MVPs (not used anymore)
XBMC
Hauppauge 150 via SVideo
Comcast Digital Cable
Motorola HD Cable box channel changed via Firewire
Vista Home Premium with RDP hack
AMD Athalon 64 5000+
340gig sata, plus 80SATA+3x160IDE Drives in XP machine for storage.

I am running the latest version.

I've tried going over to XMLTV for this, and that seems to be working fine -- but now I'm getting totally different problems -- that is, the XMLTV applications crashes while saving the updated XML file... Seems no matter what I do I'm SOL. Sad

Go back to zap2it and force a manual EPG update, then post your config.exe.log file.

GB-PVR only asks for the days between your most future listing and the max days you have configured. This snippet of logs below tell me you have some listings as far out as the 29/9. You may have gaps though. Its probably not a good idea to configure more than about a week of zap2it listings.

Ah, okay.

Will emptying the EPG and repopulating it with a week's worth of shows work for me then?

Thanks for the help. Smile

Hmm...

'Empty EPG' did not in fact empty the EPG. Tongue So I won't know whether ZapToIt is working for at least a week.

I'll keep ya posted. Smile Thanks again for the help. Smile

Its probably some of your pending recordings that are stopping the EPG from being fully emptied.

If you want to zip and email your gbpvr.mdb file to me at support@devnz.com I'll take a look.
