Hi,

First I don't have the ConvertX device yet, currently I have a Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB2.

if I am going to record the video in DivX format, how does the audio get recorded - in MPEG3?

Is it possible to set the steps for manual recording in less minutes, e.g. 5 minutes instead of 10 or maybe even in 1 minutes - maybe some plugin?

If I make a manual recording, I saw that gbpvr creates a subfolder in the Video-Folder called "My Manual Recordings" (maybe if I use EPG too, but then maybe another subfolder), I don't like this, is it possible to change this behaviour?

Using timeshifting mode in TV-Mode: How to I set, when I want to start playing back from timeshifting mode? The sense is normally that I press Pause and then Play if I am back or whatsoever...

If I use the Ctrl-K shortcut to record immediatally from LiveTV: How can I store that file permamently and how would I playback that file? One other thing to that shortcut: Is it possible to record instead of one series (or 1 hour) to record "endless", until I press stop?

Thanks for your answers in advance.

In the config app there is an option "automatically create subfolders" (or something like that) on one of the tabs. I think that is the one you want to uncheck.

thanks...
and about the other questions?

I have one more questions: Will it possible to have the LiveTV-Stream being a DivX-Stream too because currently you can record in DivX but LiveTV needs to be MPEG2 (as I saw in the config utility)... I would like to have DivX here too... will this be possible with future versions?

Yes, you can record to MP3 if you have the LAME encoder filter installed.

Quote:Is it possible to set the steps for manual recording in less minutes, e.g. 5 minutes instead of 10 or maybe even in 1 minutes - maybe some plugin?
If you want the recording to start at 10:33, then just type 1-0-3-3

Quote:Using timeshifting mode in TV-Mode: How to I set, when I want to start playing back from timeshifting mode? The sense is normally that I press Pause and then Play if I am back or whatsoever...
You can either press Ctrl-O to catch up to near real time, or change channels to leave timeshift altogether.

Quote:If I use the Ctrl-K shortcut to record immediatally from LiveTV: How can I store that file permamently and how would I playback that file?
If you press Ctrl-K, it effectively tells GB-PVR to keep the timeshift file for this recording instead of automatically deleting it. You can access the recording in the recordings screen like all other recordings.

Quote:One other thing to that shortcut: Is it possible to record instead of one series (or 1 hour) to record "endless", until I press stop?
No, this isnt possible.

No, this is unlikely to ever happen. There just isnt enough people using these device to make it worth spending the huge amount of time that would be required to implement this.

Ok, thanks for the answers so far... the most important part is so or so to record in DivX...
and where do I need to configure that the audio-part of the DivX-Video gets captured in MP3 (Lame MP3 Encoder Filter is installed)?

To TimeShift-Mode... what happens if you press Ctrl-O? I think you might misunderstand me here... I meant say that I press start timeshift-mode before I got a telephone call and then I press go on playing, so that I see it from that part of time I started timeshift mode... does this happen if I press Ctrl-O?

Btw. one other question: I read that I need the WinDVD Creator installed because of audio/video synchronisation and the Mux-Filter... do I need to setup the Mux-Filter (that he should use the one provided be WinDVD Creator) and/or some other things for the audio/video-synchronisation and the Mux-Filter to get used by GB-PVR for the PX-M402U... or are those used automatically if installed?

You can get the lame encoder from http://www.elecard.com/ftp/pub/directsho..._dshow.zip

Install it by running: regsvr32 lame.ax

Its not entirely clear what you're trying to ask me. When you're in time shift mode you can press pause/play/skip etc to navigate around the timeshift buffer, or if you want catch up whats currently playing on live tv, then you can press Ctrl-O

So when the Lame MP3 Filter is installed MP3 is automatically used or do I need to setup that somewhere (config.xml)? Btw. do I really need the Lame MP3 DirectShow-Filter or I can I use the ACM-Filter too?

To timeshift mode, how to I start playback from the beginning of the timeshift mode and how to I go forth and back?

In my last edit I have added a question:
Quote:Btw. one other question: I read that I need the WinDVD Creator installed because of audio/video synchronisation and the Mux-Filter... do I need to setup the Mux-Filter (that he should use the one provided be WinDVD Creator) and/or some other things for the audio/video-synchronisation and the Mux-Filter to get used by GB-PVR for the PX-M402U... or are those used automatically if installed?

Btw. does the DeInterlace-Filter use graphic-card-acceleration if available or does it do it through software?

The default settings are to use MP3 encoding if the LAME encoder is found.

Quote:Btw. do I really need the Lame MP3 DirectShow-Filter or I can I use the ACM-Filter too?
Yes, you need the lame encoder from the URL I provided or you wont get MP3 audio.

You need WinDVD creator installed so that GB-PVR can use the mux and audio encoder filters. You dont need to configure anything.

Maybe.
